It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy F. McDowell (Barrie, Ontario), who passed away on May 7, 2018, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Chris McDowell (Linda), Cathy McDowell, Linda Harkness (Rick), Colleen Webber (Phil), April Petrie (Russ), Leila McDowell and Tanya Davies; his grandchildren, Stephen, Jacqueline, Cheryl-Lynn, Jesse, Nicole, Joshua, Ethan, Jared, Sydnie, Paige, Mackenzie and Miranda; his great grandchildren, Kyle, Josh, Tate, Kaylea, Cassidy and Jacob; his brothers, Bill McDowell (Joyce), Ed McDowell (Irene) and Lorne McDowell; and his sister-in-law Doris McDowell. He was also cherished by his many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations the Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
