He was predeceased by: his parents, Fannie Mercer and Wilfred Mercer; and his siblings, Jack Mercer, Phyllis Gordon (late Jim) of Toronto, Henry Mercer (Marilyn) of Calgary and Leonard Mercer (Betty) of Bracebridge.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Whitell; his daughters, Heather Mercer-Turner of Barrie and Carolyn Rastorfer of Egmondville, Ontario; his grandchildren, Adelaide, Hudson Turner and Grace Rastorfer; his sister Joy Armstrong (Jim) of Orillia; and his sister-in-law Sharon Whitell (late Norman).

Any memorial donations can be made to the Grace United Church Memorial and Special Gift Fund or the charity of your choice and would be appreciated by the family.
