He was predeceased by: his parents, Henderikus and Dena; and his siblings, John, Ina, Henk and Harco.

He is survived by: his spouse Antje; his sons, Harry (Charlene), Peter (Tammy) and Fred (Alisa); his grandchildren, Arianna (Dustin), Tyson, Enya, Noella (Patrick), Joshua and Jared; and his sister Truus Buikema.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Grove Park Home are greatly appreciated by the family.
