He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lou; and his sons, Michael and James. He is survived by: his children, Dan (Ann), Margaret (David) and Peter (Ruth); his grandchildren, Alana, Jessica, Geneviève, Solange, Shannon, Riley and Eric; and his great grandchildren, Maëlle and Everly.
