She was predeceased by: her spouse Duncan Matheson; her parents, Albert Mercer-Nozewski and Lily Mercer-Nozewski; her stepfather Eugene Nozewski; and her brother Albert Mercer.

She is survived by: her children, Angela Sharon and Deanna Matheson (Gerard); her sisters, Barbara Mercer-Moffatt (Steve) and Christine Proffitt (Rick); her grandchildren, Brittany, Matthew, Mikayla, Nico and Caitlynn; her great grandchildren, Nevonte, Isabella and Osiris; and her niece Michelle Mercer (Joe). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
