With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvyn Clarence Varcoe (Barrie, Ontario), born in Alliston, Ontario, who passed away on January 22, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Varcoe and Vera (Swaffield); and his brother Alvin (Mary). He is survived by: his wife Cathy (McCague); his sons, Christopher (Christine) and Craig (Kimberly); his brother Donald Varcoe (Marie); and his siblings-in-law, Jack McCague (Rita), Linda Hughson (Ross), Carol Bowen and Laurie Spall (Tom). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The Hospital for Sick Children or Matthews House Hospice would be appreciated.
