He was predeceased by: his spouse Josephine Dawney; and his sister Rosemary Worsnop. He is survived by: his children, Gail Douglas (Chris), Gwen Dermott-Ainscough (Craig) and Brian Dawney (Debbie); his grandchildren, Tammy, John, Brad, Nathan, Tyler, Kyle and Kelan; his great grandchildren, Christopher, Mariah, Brooklyn, Reed, Barrett, Adelyn and Keaton; and his brothers, Geoff Dawney (Barb), Lance Dawney (late Jess) and Clive Dawney (Joan).

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the RVH Foundation and are greatly appreciated.
