She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Edward Melnyk; her children, Allan Melnyk, Janie Lovell (Glenn Pirie), Jennifer Melnyk and Ashlee Melnyk; her grandchildren, Jarrett (Corrie-Lynn), Kyle (Quianna), Zoe, Devin (Scott), Darcee and Sadie; her great grandchildren, Odette, Ada, Perrin, Aviendha and Benjamin; and her siblings, Marilyn, Janice, Cindy and Rick.
