He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell and Anna; his brother Fred (Bev); and his adoptive parent Kelly. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, James Arksey, Anita "Bits" Heyworth (Brian), Mike Arksey (Anne), Kathy Terry (Dennis), Jackie Longstaffe (late Peter) and Judie Stewart (Dan); his grandchildren, Matthew, Lorelei, Russell (Allison), David (Megan), Michelle, Adam (Kate) and Brayden; his in-laws, Gordon and Josephine; and his niece Dr. Bailey Steele.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 4th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Adams Funeral Home (445 St Vincent St, Barrie, ON L4M6T5). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. John Vianney Parish (13 Baldwin Ln, Barrie, ON L4N2W1). A reception was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
