He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sally; his children, Edward Shirley (Arlene), Kevin Shirley, Gay Duncan (Scott), Daphne Shirley, Celeste Shirley and Lori Shirley (Steve Harbourne); his grandchildren, Matthew Shirley, Blair Marchand (Rob), Jaime Mitchell (Paul), Corey Duncan, Jeremy Crooks, Desiree Crooks and Sarah Doiron; his great grandchildren, Jace, Kane and Quinn; and his siblings, Frances, John, Rusty, Peter, Molly and Janet. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
