He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Thurlow (McGinnis) and William Thurlow; his siblings, Robert, Allan and Doris Hastings; and his daughter Elizabeth Wilkins (Dan).

He is survived by: his wife Debbie Camilleri; his sister Marian Steckley; his daughter Nancy Milne (David); his grandchildren, Kelly, Allison, Hanna, Jake, Emily and Claire; his great grandchildren, Lylia, Keith, Emmett and Hudson; his caregivers, Kerri and Angie; and his friend Cathy Colebatch. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and many lifelong friends.
