Harry Downes Obituary
Harry Downes passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie on Friday, November 23rd, 2018 at the age of 78. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 58 years, Pamela. Loving father of Denise, Lisa (Steve), Terry, Harry and Michelle. Cherished grandfather of Sarah, Jessica, Nicole, Adam, Miranda, Joseph, the late Brandon and 4 great-grandchildren.
Dear brother of Sandra Downes (Nestor Hlynsky). Loved by many nieces and nephews. Harry set the bar as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He loved his family more than anything and they were his greatest pride. Harry had an incredibly generous spirit and was known for his quick wit and sense of humour.
He left a smile on everyone's face. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Ferndale Banquet Hall at 24 Ferndale Industrial Drive, Barrie on Monday, November 26th, 2018 from 5:30pm - 8:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Simcoe would be greatly appreciated by the family.
