He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar T. Hachey and Evangeline Hache of Bathurst. He is survived by: his wife Valerie; his children, Ron and Elizabeth; his grandsons, Matthew and Nicholas; his sister Constance; and his brother-in-law Thomas Hills.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
