He was predeceased by: his parents, Fume Yonemitsu and Isuke Yonemitsu; and his siblings, Isoko, Toky, Mitsy, Mitsugi, Satoshi, Fuyoko, Isao and Joe.

He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his children, Dennis (Dana), Lorraine (late Wayne) and Sharon (Steve); his grandchildren, Branden (Casara), Brianna (Scott), Lindsay (Lee), Christine (Bryce), Jayden, Morgan, Kayleigh (Callom) and Charlotte; his great grandchildren, Ava, Parker and Ayla; and his brother Jim Yonemitsu (Marg). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donations in George's memory can be made to North Hastings High School Scholarship Fund and are greatly appreciated by the family.
