Words of sympathy

April 12, 2025

Jean Beattie-Swackhamer wrote a sympathy message

“My stepdad Doug was an extraordinary man. He was fiercely loyal to those he loved. Beloved husband to the late Sandy Corbett. They separated after Mom went into nursing care and he rekindled his relationship with his first wife Diane. He came seeking acceptance and approval, which touched my heart. We were both people of few words, but both conveyed deep love and respect. He stood by me with strength and solidarity for my Mom in her last days and funeral. Thank you for our chats this month.”
