He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Marjorie; his children, Stephanie, Jonathan and Elizabeth (Taref Juman); his grandchildren, Hannah, Mallory, Nathan, Rachel, Lula and Adara; his siblings, Stephen and Dawn Munday; and his stepmother Pauline Newbery-Smith of Scotland.

Memorial donations may be made to the Barrie Public Library, downtown branch.
