He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Barbara; his children, Debbie Benjamin (Rae), Sandy Boland (Steve), Gord McKinzey (Kelly) and Adele Whitewood (late Bill); and his stepchildren, Jennifer Bisschop (Paul), Rob Price (Teri) and Joanne Messina (Steve). He was also cherished by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
