He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Sweeney and Norman Sweeney; and his brothers, Norman Sweeney and Edward Sweeney. He is survived by: his children, Chearie Bettinelli of Barrie, ON, Shawn Sweeney of Guelph, ON and Lyndsay Sweeney-Ward of Bright, ON.; his grandchildren, Dallas, Hunter, Cailyn, James and Aiden; his siblings, Brian Sweeney of Barrie, ON, Linda Sallans of Barrie, ON, Beverley Murray of Angus, ON, Norma Jean Swackhammer of Langley, BC, Jim Sweeney of Trent River, ON and Dale Sweeney of Miramichi, NB; and his wife Cathy Sweeney-Rossi (Andree Lortie Hurd). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
