He is survived by: his wife Jean; his children, Chris Hern, Barbara Beardsall (Jim) and Kevin Hern (Lisa); his grandchildren, Michelle (Ryan), Daryl, Lindsay (Harry), Robyn, Nina, Leland, Finn and Ethan; and his great grandchildren, Curtis and Cassandra.

Donations may be made to the Parkinson Association of Canada and are greatly appreciated by the family.
