He was predeceased by: his brother Ted; and his siblings-in-law, Joy, John and Peter. He is survived by: his children, Gillian Forsey (John), Catherine Gray (Bill) and Alan Merrett (Edeena); his grandchildren, James, Andrew, Sarah, Tasha, Alex, Jessica and Matthew; and his siblings, Ron (Joyce) and Rosemary. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bert may be directed to the RVH Foundation, St. Margaret's Anglican Church or a charity of choice.
