He is survived by: his wife Joyce Westwood; his children, Eleanor (John) and Brian (Margaret); his grandchildren, Brad (Shihori), Calais (Doug), Duncan, Janette, Natalie and Graeme (Josee); his great grandchildren, Rino, Kainoah, Annalise, Maxwell and Benjamin; his stepchildren, Michele (Neil) and Gary; and his stepgrandchildren, Jeremy (Megan), Rebecca (Ryan) and Samantha.
The family requests donations to honour Ernie be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Cardiff Branch, the Canadian Cancer Society or Threads of Life.
