He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, John, Campbell and Finlay; his parents, Rhoda Ross of Courtenay, B. C. and John M. Ross (Bainsville); his siblings, Lynn Ross (Garry Murdock) of Courtenay, B. C., Beth Rees (Murray) of Courtenay, B. C., John "Murdie" Ross of Cornwall and Lyle Ross (Moira) of Bainsville; and also Laurie Anne. He was also cherished by his many nieces and nephews.
