He was predeceased by: his former wife Carol; his parents, John Heis and Idena Heis; his brother Jim Heis (Ardath); and his stepson Christopher Doggett.
He is survived by: his wife Betty; his daughters, Kimberly Cooper (David) and Wendy Leeder (Timothy); his brother Edward Heis; his grandchildren, Austin Cooper (Isha), Hannah Cooper, Thomas Leeder and Eric Leeder; his great grandchild Silas; his grandchildren, Curtis and Cassidy Williamson; and his friends, Dick, Sandi Gieringer and Linda Roy.
