With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John Johannes Sangers (Ayr, Ontario), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. John left this world on February 15, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gert Sangers and Wilhelmina Sangers; and his siblings, Herman Sangers (Corrie), Annie Sluis (Jan), Piet Sangers (Mien), Gert Sangers (Bep), Corrie Steenkamp (Wim) and Adrie Sangers.
He is survived by: his wife Rina; his children, Elizabeth Hicks (Dave), Gerald Sangers (Kris), Peter Sangers (Theresa Kusch), John Sangers (Crystal), Robert Sangers (Valerie Lessard), Wilma Vannatter (Jeff), Catharine Sangers (Bob Snell) and Mary Leggett (Cory Dominix); and his sister Nell van den Ouderrijn of Holland. He is also survived by his 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Ayr Chapel, Wm Kipp Funeral Home (183 Northumberland St, Ayr, ON N0B1E0). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Brigid's Roman Catholic Community Church (50 Manley St, Ayr, ON N0B1E0).
