He was predeceased by: his mother Catarina Schmitt (Suderman). He is survived by: his father Cornelius Schmitt; his wife Annie Schmitt; his children, Kristy Schmitt (Benjamin), Sherry VanQuaethem (Curtis), Anthoney Schmitt (Auralee), Jennifer Schmitt, Salena Fehr (Jacob), Carter Schmitt and Allizon Sztogryn; and his siblings, Suzi West (Barry), Catarina Schmitt (Driedger), Tony Schmitt (Melissa), Nancy Froats (Neil), Lisa Schmitt (Jeff), John Schmitt and Joanna Paton (Shawn).
