He was predeceased by: his sister Margaret; and his parents, John Robert and Mabel Renton (Howell). He is survived by: his spouse Lorainne Renton (Cairns); his children, Carl Renton (Donna Neary) of Newcastle and England; his stepdaughters, Karen Ewing (Rob) of Guelph and Sara Vieira (Jose) of Dorchester; his grandchildren, Reggie, Declan, Claire, Ana and Mina; and his siblings, John, Frank, Jeff, Alistair, Hilary and Janice. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
