He was predeceased by: his sisters, Mary and Martha. He is survived by: his spouse Eliane Mattheus (Van Den Eeckhout); his children, Shirley Evely (Craig) and Ron Vandecasteele (Lisa) of London; his grandchildren, Caitlyn, Jordan, Noah and Richard; his siblings, Ester (Jules) and Sylvere; his sister-in-law Celina; and his stepchildren, Dan Mattheus and Suzanne Mattheus (Bob). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
