He was predeceased by: his wife Ida; his siblings, Dora, Bert Peet, Arie, Dela Janssen, Lammie Janssen, Tina, Annie, Wim Peet, Bertha, Jan Elkink and Jan Somsen; and his parents, Bernardus Martinus Janssen and Christina Johanna Berentschot.
He is survived by: his daughters, JoAnn Buist, Ida De Jong, Bernice Janssen (John), Shirley Talsma (Ken), Marlene Lendvay (Dave) and Bev Van Straten (Marcel); his grandchildren, George (Robin Buist), Shirley (Nic Van Engen), Emily (Seth Adema), Sara De Jong, Alana (Andrew Greba), Cameron of Wolf, Nathan (Nicole Talsma), Scott (Robin Talsma), Michelle (Calvin Batterink), Nicole (Zach Dunnewold), Alexis Lendvay (Kyle), Zoe Lendvay and Brandon (Rachael Van Straten); and his sister Marie Somsen.
