He was predeceased by: his wife Marie Baker (Poirier); his grandson Christopher Carly (Andrew); and his siblings, Walter, Ron, Mona and Dorothy.

He is survived by: his children, Jim Baker (Robin) of Saline, Michigan, Janet Dalzell (Brian) of Bobcaygeon and John Baker (Kate) of Aylmer; his grandchildren, Mitchell, Bailey, Jaime (Sean), Scott (Lynn), Allyson (Scott), Jenny (Geoff), Justin Lars (Nikki) and Jayla; his great grandchildren, Olivia, Alyssa, Madison, Rylie, Carter, Elliott, Beckham, Sebastian, Oliver, Evan, Ryan, Laura and Cinder; his stepchildren, Paulette (Hill), Marc (Ann), Mike (Janice) and Nicole Poirier; and his sister Margaret MacFarlane.
