He was predeceased by: his brothers, Bob and Tom Martindale; his nephew Matt Martindale; and his parents, Ansel Martindale and Edna Martindale (Houghton).
He is survived by: his spouse Evita Martindale (Muller); his children, Paul Martindale of Aylmer and Kate Martindale of Aylmer; his siblings, B. J. Shaw (late George), Shirley Martindale, Dorothy Falkins (late Eugene) and Pat Vaillant (Guy); his mother-in-law Hilda Muller (late Eberhard); and his siblings-in-law, Carmen Lewis and Peter Muller (Jackie). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
