He was predeceased by: his son Ronald Taggart; his siblings, Jack Taggart and Maxine Walton; his brother-in-law Richard Picknell; and his parents, Alvin Taggart and Mabel Taggart (Gillanders).
He is survived by: his spouse Ferne Taggart (Picknell); his children, Kelly Hyatt (Paul), Scott Taggart and Patricia O'Connor (Leon); his daughter-in-law Karen Taggart; his grandchildren, Emma (Eoghan), Paige (Grant), Abigail, Kelli (Harry), Colleen, Courtney, Matthew, Lauren and Grant; and his great grandchildren, Ronan, Naomi, Katie, Nolan and Theoren. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
