He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Johnston and Verna Johnston; his siblings, Jean Heatherington (Len), Lillian Johnstone (Garnet), Ina Prodnick (Ron) and George Johnston (Bonnie); and his grandson Joshua Flannigan.
He is survived by: his wife Donalda Johnston; his children, Jeff Johnston (Charlene) of Winchester, Sandra Baribeau (Ron) of Cornwall, Teresa Flannigan (John) of Cornwall, Ricky Johnston (Laura) of Waterloo and Kathleen Dickenson (Ricky) of Kanata; his sister Pearl Hanna (late Ernie) of Ottawa; and his grandchildren, Jenna, Jay, Austin, Amber, Mackenzie, Delaney, Noel and Kendra. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
