He was predeceased by: his son Eugene; his wife Jean; his granddaughter Julie of Alberta; his great grandchildren, Joshua, Samantha Ammon, Zachary, Rest and Hand; and also Zoe May.
He is survived by: his daughter Sheila (Richard Van Der); his grandchild Chris Van Der Ster (Jackie); his daughter Olivia; his grandchildren, Emily and August; his son Tim Van Der Ster (Li); his grandchildren, Kirk, Mackenzie and Jordin; his great grandchild Rick Laurie (Noreen) of Ajax; his grandchildren, James, Patrick and Sarah; his great grandchild Olivia; his son Jerry Laurie of St Albert; his grandson Dan Laurie of Regina; and his great grandchildren, Matt, Krissy, Justin, Falon, Sierra, Kassie, Myriah, Brad, Jessie, Aubrey and Aiden.
