He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frank Griffith and Dorothy Griffith; his brother Edward Griffith (Margaret) of Aurora; his wife Sheena (Smart); and his children, David (Jane Harris), Sandra Durdle, Joanne Laval (Brian), Claire Braun (David) and Christina Johansen (Karsten). He was also cherished by 17 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 11 nieces and nephews.

In the spring, when COVID rules permit, the family will hold a private gathering in remembrance of Dave.
