It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Colum Patrick Whelan (Aurora, Ontario), who passed away on December 13, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Colum Patrick Whelan to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Whelan and Bridee; and his siblings, Monica, Theresa, Liam, Aiden, Desmond and Michael.
He is survived by: his wife Rita; his children, Richard (Sylvie), Paul (Cynthia), Pauline and Marla (Scott); his grandchildren, Bridget (Mike), Sinead (Sean), Peter, Carmen, Madeleine (Phil) and Benjamin; his great grandchild Desmond; his sister Maureen; and his in-laws, Peter, Marlene, Kathy, Lou, Brenda and S. Louise.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Grace Catholic Parish (15347 Yonge St, Aurora, ON L4G1N7).
