She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Young and Susanna Young (Strickert); her son-in-law Lyle Ruby (Butch); her brothers, Gordon and John (Evelyn); and her brother-in-law Ted Crocker.
She is survived by: her children, Doug Ward (Sharon), Neil Ward and Brenda Ruby; her sisters, Ethel Crocker and Eileen Johnston; and her sister-in-law Phyllis Young. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
