He was predeceased by: his spouse Beverley Green; his parents, William Green and Florence Heffernan; and his brothers, Elmore Green (Betty) and Thomas Green (Verla).

He is survived by: his children, Kim Sytsma (Charlie) of Athens, Lisa Routhier of Brockville and Kelly Green-Frew (Doug) of Athens; his grandchildren, William Sytsma (Nicole), Sean Sytsma (Stephanie), Victoria Sytsma (Julien), Virginia Sytsma (Dan), Jason Routhier and Victor Routhier (Jenna); his great grandchildren, Luke, Talia Systma and Marlee Routhier; his close friend John Bohusz; and his sister-in-law Honey Hartley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
