She was predeceased by: her father Vernon Washburn; and her brother-in-law Earl Coates. She is survived by: her husband Roger Coates; her child Hunter Coates; her mother Violet Washburn; her siblings, Randy Washburn (Lynn) and Debbie Knapp (Ronald); her nieces and nephews, Veronica Herrington (T. J.), Curt Washburn (Brandy), Ashley Jones (Jake), Brandon Knapp (Meaghan) and Kiersten Lauton; her mother-in-law Betty Coates; and her sister-in-law Susan Coates (Renee).
In memoriam's to The Heart & Stroke Foundation, The Arthritis Society or The Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged by the family. Donations are being accepted in memory of Penny.
