She was predeceased by: her husband Hubert Cowle; her parents, Percy Whitmore and Marguerite Whitmore; her brothers, George and Walter; and her nephew Brent.

She is survived by: her sister-in-law Audrey Whitmore of Athens, Proud; her nieces, Karin Cotto (Mike) and Elizabeth Whitmore (Greg Rehberg); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Nicholas (Jenn) and Parker Cotto; her nieces, Susan Whitmore and Barb Raison; and also Savannah Cotto.

In memory of Mary, donations to Christ Church, would be greatly appreciated by the family.

“Our deepest condolences to Mary’s family and friends. Mary was a bright light who’s friendliness and intelligence will always be remembered. She will be sorely missed. We spent several afternoons with Mary and Hubert on our travels to and from Ottawa from our home in Port Stanley. We were also spent some time with them when they visited my parents in Ottawa. My father Bill Sheen was the brother-in-law of Hubert’s sister Helen. With the passing of Helen, they seemed to form a close bond.”
