It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Efthimios Karagiannopoulos in Athens, Ontario, who passed away on January 15, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Petros and Stavroula; his wife Kallirroi; and his siblings, Aliki and Christos.
He is survived by: his son Peter; his daughter-in-law Sofy; his grandchildren, Kallirroi-Laiya, Vasiliki-Kia and Yiannis; his son Constantine; his daughter-in-law Liz; his grandchildren, Ethan-Efthimios, Justin-Komninos and Alexander; and his siblings, Yiannis and Athens. He is also survived by his family, his friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ralph Day Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (30 Thorncliffe Park Dr., Toronto, ON M4H1H8). A burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at the Pine Hills Cemetery (625 Birchmount Rd, Scarborough, ON M1K1R1).
