She was predeceased by: her husband Ernest Coates; her son Ernest Coates (Earl); her daughter-in-law Penny Coates; and her parents, Ross Earl and Valdiva Haliday.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Coates (Renee) and Roger Coates; her grandchildren, Kiersten Lauton and Hunter Coates; and her brother Jim Earl (Sheila). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
