He was predeceased by: his grandson Keegan; his son Wayne; his great grandchild Tristin; his parents, Carl Peterson and Evelyn Niemi; his stepfather Kalle Niemi; and his siblings, Elaine, Eugene, George, Jack and Gloria.
He is survived by: his spouse Rita; his children, Darren, Cathy, Eric (Erika) and Rachel; and his grandchildren, Devin (Gabe), Natasha (Mike), Nathan (Corey), Ida-Marie, Meghan, Reece, Jaidan and Rebecca.
