She was predeceased by: her spouse Leslie Checkley; her child Shawn "Chuck" Checkley of Arthur; her parents, Perc Felker and Enid Felker (Vick); and her brothers-in-law, Garnet Louttit, George Henry and Blaine Richardson.

She is survived by: her children, Shannon "Ab" of Arthur, Brad Hickman of Arthur, Christofer "Boys" of Arthur and Adrienne Checkley (Schmidt) of Arthur; her grandchildren, Josh, Abby "Moosie" and Jake; and her siblings-in-law, Ruth Louttit, Lil Henry (Dave), Betty Richardson, Mary Martin (Jim), Bill Checkley (Lorna) and Kate Checkley (John). She is also survived by her nieces, nephews and friends.
