He was predeceased by: his brother Leroy Burns. He is survived by: his wife Donna (Lockhart); his children, Randy Burns, Rick, Michelle Burns, Gary Burns, Ron, Deanna Burns, Ray, Laura Burns, Chris, Julie Burns and Arthur; and his siblings, Ivadel Giles and Norma McCarl. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.

As expressions of sympathy donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
