She was predeceased by: her husband David Dolan; her daughter Gail Ann; her parents, William "Bill" McLean and Anna Rose McLean; and her siblings, Alec, Lola, Jessie, Angus, Nellie, Frances and Gordon.
She is survived by: her children, Heather Mansell (David) of Ottawa, Sharon Marshall of Arnprior and William Dolan (Cindy James) of Arnprior; her grandchildren, Thomas (Deb), Kimberley (Dan), Rodney, Adam (Kayla), Kaylie (Ian), James, Melissa (Mike) and Steven (Kirsten); and her great grandchildren, Oliver, Emma, Eric, Max, Zander, Aria, Brianna, Clayton, Clarissa and Silas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In memory of Velma, a donation may be made to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
