He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Turton and Isabel Turton; and his siblings, Allan and Marian. He is survived by: his spouse Irene; his children, Peter (Kyla), Doug (Bev), Jane Hart (late Peter), Andy (Brenda), John, Barb Rozman (Al) and Ellen Thompson (Chris); and his brother Doug Turton (Wendy). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
