He was predeceased by: his wife Rita; his parents, Théophil Laprade and Aline Laprade; his daughter Kathleen; and his sister Joan.

He is survived by: his children, Gary Laprade (Monique) and Sandra Harper (Douglas); his grandchildren, Gaetan Laprade (Mary) and Alexander Laprade (Leaha); his great grandchildren, Miles, Lyam, Maveryck and Arianna; his brothers, Bob (Sonia) and Roy (Flo); and his close friend Liliane. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews.
