He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Catherine; his children, Mark Riopelle (Anne Miller) and Jocelyne Riopelle; his siblings, Dr. Richard Riopelle (late Elizabeth), Christopher Riopelle (Caroline) and Mary Margaret Riopelle (Dave Stewart); and his siblings-in-law, Patricia "Patti" McLean (Peter), Mike Nugent and Jim Nugent (Salma Lall). He was also cherished by his nieces and nephews.
