He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Walker; his parents, James Howard Walker I and Isobel Walker Playfair Jeffrey; and his stepsisters, Joan Graham (late Alec), Anne Praslowski (Peter) and Cocker Spaniel Riley.
He is survived by: his son James Howard "Howie" Walker II; his granddaughter Olivia Anne Walker; his sister Janet Walker; and his nieces and nephews, Robin, Christine, Melanie, Stephanie, Andrea, Scott, Andrew, Greg, Brad and Keith.
