She was predeceased by: her husband John Sokil; her daughter Shirley Welsh; and her parents, David Friesen and Justina Friesen. She is survived by: her children, Judy Rempel of Winnipeg, Abe Deroche of Thunder Bay, Jeannie Doerkson of Fort Frances, Jeannette Small of Fort Frances, Richard Sawatsky (late Mary) of Thunder Bay, Lloyd Walker of Renfrew and Diane Walker (Garry Mills) of Renfrew. She is also survived by her 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
